/files/Photos and Graphics/bobotto.jpgDr. Otto earned a Ph.D. in marriage and family therapy from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He has experience working with children, adolescents and adults in individual, couple and family therapy settings.

He has helped clients dealing with challenges in the following areas

  • Sexual addictions
  • Marital conflict and relationship issues
  • Reconciling after affairs
  • Post divorce healing
  • Recovering from sexual abuse and other traumatic issues
  • Behavioral issues and academic challenges for students
Dr. Otto is also convinced that starting marriage on the right foot can have a significant impact on a couple’s future. For this reason, he works with many couples as they prepare for marriage and in the months after the wedding.

Dr. Otto has a bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY. Dr. Otto served in the United States Army for 7½ years as an Infantry officer. He is Airborne and Ranger qualified. He served as a platoon leader and company commander in Infantry units at Fort Hood, TX and Fort Benning, GA.

Dr. Otto has worked for nearly a decade with the Military Ministry of Campus Crusade for Christ. He and his wife speak at marriage conferences around the nation for military families. This work also includes helping military service members and their families deal with the impact of Combat Trauma and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). His service in the Army and his professional training as a therapist are key factors in helping these clients.

Dr. Otto is the author of Rise Up: For Dad’s Who Want to Lead Boldly, a challenge for men to become the spiritual leaders in their homes. Dr. Otto regularly speaks on the radio at retreats and men’s groups on the issue of spiritual leadership for men and is passionate about helping men learn how to take the next step on this journey. Dr. Otto and his wife Shannon have been married since 1993. They moved back to Boca Raton in 1998 and home school their three teen age children.
